Start of Day
Arrive at school by 7.30am.
Children are received from the parent/ parents’ cars with hearty smiles and big Good mornings. Teachers ensure that they examine the child both emotionally and physically as they are picked and inform either the parent or the office for any mishap.
Morning Activity
Children who arrive at school before circle time are engaged in classroom activities such as colouring, practising how to write and finishing their classwork in books, etc. These also act as remedial lessons for children who are lagging behind. For Primary Section, this time is used to either read or catch up on unfinished work.
Classes Begin (8.30am to 9am)
Classes begin after using the bathroom. Lessons then take place based on the timetable.
Snack Time (9.30am for Playgroup & Nursery, 10am for the rest)
The children first wash their hands, are served their snack and sit down to eat. The teachers and the caretakers help them to serve, pour their juice or water in cups and encouraging them to eat, drink and concentrate on their eating.
Play Time (10.30am)
The children go outside to play carefully under strict adult supervision.
End of play time (11am)
The children end play time by tidying up the play area and washing their hands. They then go for the nest toilet break where they are required to wash their hands again.
Lunch Time (12noon)
Children wash their hands, sit properly and are served by their teachers and caretakers.
Play Time (1pm)
Children put on their shoes and go out to carefully play under adult supervision.
End of Play Time (1.30pm)
The children end play time by tidying up the play area and washing their hands. They then go for the nest toilet break where they are required to wash their hands again.
They then sit in class and try to finish the rest of their snack.
Pick up time (3pm – 5pm)
Children are escorted to the parents / parents’ cars by the teachers on duty, with all of their belongings. Teachers may chat briefly with parents on how the day was. However, this is kept minimal so as not to disturb the flow of pickup time traffic.
